2011

A miracle — and a crisis

After giving birth to her daughter Destinee, Sheena went into multi-organ failure due to a medical complication. Afterbirth was left in her womb. Her body began to shut down.

She survived — but at a cost

Sheena underwent the amputation of her toes. Her kidneys were severely damaged. The doctors did what they could. She held on.

Year after year, her kidney function has continued to fall. She has kept going — for her girls, for her grandson, for her faith. But her body needs help now.
